Citicoline is a major component of cell membrane phospholipids and is a complex organic molecule composed of ribose, pyrophosphate, cytosine and choline. citicoline is water soluble and its oral bioavailability is >90%. citicoline has no mitogenic or chemotactic effect on hCMEC/D3.
