Description

Chlorhexidine is used primarily as a topical antiseptic/disinfectant in wound healing, at catheterization sites, in various dental applications and in surgical scrubs. 2.Chlorhexidine digluconate 20% solution is a broad spectrum bacteriostatis antiseptic agent,oral care agent, disinfectant, cosmetic biocide, and preservative. It can be used in antiseptic soap, mouthwash that fights plaque, disinfecting wounds and burns, vaginal flushing, hair dyes and bleaches, makeup, and other skin and hair care products.

Function and Application

Function

Chlorhexidine salts are widely used in pharmaceutical formulations in Europe and Japan for their antimicrobial properties.Although mainly used as disinfectants, chlorhexidine salts are also used as antimicrobial preservatives.As excipients, chlorhexidine salts are mainly used for the preservation of eye-drops at a concentration of 0.01% w/v; generally the acetate or gluconate salt is used for this purpose.

Application

1) It is used for gingivitis (acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis), oral infection after dental surgery, to prevent and treat oral infection of cancer and leukemia patients, stomatitis, follicular stomatitis caused by bacterial or fungal oral infection with Chemicalbook wear of dentures, and to reduce dental plaque.Also used as antiseptic for equipment and skin, eye drops.

2) Chlorhexidine digluconate is a disinfectant and antiseptic, which has a strong broad-spectrum bacteriostatic and bactericidal effect, and is effective against both Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. Disinfect the external hands and skin,and rinse the wound.
