Gelatin Capsule Shell
Gelatin Empty Capsule Shell Titanium Dioxide Free is made up of a cap and body with two sections of capsule shell, refined from pharmaceutical gelatine and excipients.
Food grade Gelatine is used in many food products such as puddings, sweets, preserves, chewy candies, icing, canned foods and dips. In food, gelatine helps to solidify, thicken, stabilise and aerate food, making it an extremely popular, nutritious and low-fat food ingredient. Gelatine itself is a water-soluble protein derived from collagen, the main natural protein component of connective tissue. Edible gelatine is obtained from the skin and bones of animals through a controlled extraction process. There are various types of edible gelatine. Capsule shells are made from pharmaceutical grade gelatine, which must meet the strict requirements for use in pharmaceutical products.

HPMC Veg Capsule Shell
HPMC Vegan Empty Capsule Shell, unlike traditional glutamine capsules, are composed of HPMC (hydroxyl, propyl, methyl and cellulose) with polysaccharides and the essential elements of plant cell walls. The EMA (European Medicines Agency) reissued its technical and procedural guidance entitled "Substitution/removal of titanium dioxide (TiO2) from pharmaceutical products" on 1 July, with the EMA stating that the above regulations apply to all pharmaceutical products containing TiO2, regardless of their pharmaceutical form. It also calls on the pharmaceutical industry to make every effort to accelerate the development of alternatives to titanium dioxide and its substitution in new and authorised products.
