Funcation and Application

1.The antibacterial

Naringin Powder 98% has strong antibacterial effect on staphylococcus aureus, colon, dysentery and typhoid bacillus. Naringin also has fungal effects, with 1000ppm applied to rice reducing magnaporthe grisea infection by 40-90% and showing no toxicity to humans or livestock.

2.The anti-inflammatory

Intraperitoneal injection of 20mg/kg per day significantly inhibited the inflammatory process induced by implantation of wool balls. Galati et al. found through mouse ear slice experiment that naringin in all dose groups had anti-inflammatory effect, and the anti-inflammatory effect increased with the increase of dose.

3.The immune regulation

Naringin Powder 98% maintains a moderate balance of oxidative stress at certain times and in certain regions of the cell by regulating the flow of electrons within the mitochondria. Therefore, the immunomodulatory function of naringin is different from that of traditional immune enhancers or immunosuppressants. Its characteristic is that it can restore the unbalanced immune state (pathological state) to the normal immune balance state (physiological state), instead of enhancing or suppressing the immune response unidirectional.

Naringin Powder 98% can significantly improve the high plasma cholesterol concentration, TG (triglyceride) concentration and free fatty acid concentration in obese rats. It was found that naringin can reduce blood lipid levels by up-regulating peroxide-proliferator-activated receptor δ in monocytes in high-lipid model rats.

In clinical trials, people with hypercholesterolemia took a 400mg naringin capsule daily for eight weeks. Plasma TC and LOW density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) concentrations decreased, while TG and HIGH density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) concentrations did not change significantly.
