Product Description

Product Introduction
D Chiro Inositol is a member of the inositol family, although "inositol" includes several biologically active isomers, including L-chiro inositol. MYO (muscle inositol) is converted to DCI by the insulin-dependent NAD/NADH differential isomerase. DCI) accelerates dephosphorylation of glycogen synthase and pyruvate dehydrogenase and promotes non-oxidative and oxidative glucose handling by the rate-limiting enzyme. it reduces insulin resistance due to defective differential isomerisation of muscle inositol to chiro inositol and at least partially restores insulin sensitivity and glucose handling.
Product Function
1. Improving insulin sensitivity to regulate blood glucose
Type II diabetic patients and some obese patients exhibit insulin resistance. The main cause of insulin resistance is blocked or diminished insulin signalling. Insulin binds to the insulin receptor (IR) on the cell surface and activates tyrosine protein kinase, which phosphorylates the insulin receptor substrate (IRS), thereby activating phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase, which in turn acts on downstream target molecules to regulate cell metabolism, growth, and differentiation. in 2010, some researchers proposed the existence of another insulin signalling pathway that acts synergistically on insulin-influenced glucose metabolism, and this D-chiro inositol is involved in this signalling pathway.
The results of the study showed that normal people have a certain concentration of D-chiral inositol in their blood and urine, but in type II diabetic patients, D-chiral inositol was barely detectable in their blood but several times higher than normal in their urine. This suggests that these patients may be losing D-chiral inositol too quickly due to metabolic disorders, which ultimately block the signalling of insulin action and prevent it from exerting its hypoglycaemic effect.
The physiological activity of D Chiro Inositol is achieved by oral administration. Feeding D-chiral inositol to experimental rats resulted in a 30%-50% reduction in blood glucose concentrations after administration of a glucose load. The study also suggests that D-chiral inositol does not lower blood glucose concentrations by increasing insulin levels in the blood, but may do so by increasing insulin sensitivity. Recently, researchers have tried using D-chiral inositol-rich formulations of buckwheat and bitter melon in animal models of diabetes and have also achieved significant results. Thus, supplementation with D-chiral inositol may act to reduce the incidence of diabetes by restoring insulin resistance, sensitivity to insulin and glucose metabolism
2. Antioxidant
D Chiro Inositol, unlike other antioxidants, exhibits higher antioxidant activity mainly against superoxide anions, hydrogen peroxide and hydroxyl radicals. This antioxidant activity has an inhibitory effect on oxidation-induced stress and chronic inflammation.
3. Protects nerves and improves stamina
D Chiro Inositol is effective in preventing atherosclerosis, hyperuricaemia and ageing.

Product Application in Food Supplements
In 1994, the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) approved D-chiral inositol as a dietary supplement because it is a natural human metabolite and can be taken orally.
