Usage of Herbal Extract Powder

1. Ulcerative colitis

Grinding Berberine into fine powder, using distilled water to make 0.2% aqueous solution, adding 0.6g of tin-like powder per 100ml, heating to 38℃, keeping enema for more than 2 hours, 14 days for 1 course of treatment, using 1-2 courses of treatment.

2. Recurrent mouth ulcers

After each gargle, apply a film of odourless berberine to the ulcerated surface 3-4 times a day, for a course of no more than 4 days. Or take 3 grams of Huang Lian Su and 1 gram of ice chips, finely grind them together and mix with pig bile and apply to the affected area, once in the morning and once in the evening.

3. Suppurative otitis media

Mix ear drops made from berberine with 0.2 ml of Anti-Hemorrhoid Injection and use 5-6 times a day for 5-7 days.

4. Impetigo

Get 10 tablets of berberine and dissolve in 200 ml of water. For larger pustules, draw out the fluid with a syringe and remove the epidermis, then wash the affected area with safranin solution twice a day.

5. Heat rash

Take 1g of Berberine and dissolve it in 300ml of warm water for bathing, once a day in the morning and once in the evening, for 3-5 days.

6. Infectious diarrhoea in children

Take 2 capsules of this product, grind them finely, add water to make a paste and apply externally to the umbilicus, fix with adhesive tape and change the medicine 1-2 times a day for 1-2 days.

7. Mumps for children

Take 5 capsules of this product, grind it into fine powder, add 10g of Chinese yellow powder, mix well and mix with water to make a thin paste and apply externally to the Yongquan points of both feet, change the medicine 1-2 times daily for 3-5 days.

8. Boils in children

Take 5 capsules of this product, grind it into fine powder, add 5g each of rhubarb powder, puchong powder and sulphur in water, mix well and mix with water to make a thin paste, apply externally or on the affected area 3-5 times daily for 3-5 days.

9. Type 2 diabetes mellitus

On the basis of lifestyle control, Berberine tablets were given 0.4g/time, 3 times/day for a course of 14 days for 2 courses of treatment. The total effective rate was 94.6%, with 20 effective cases, 54.1% and 2 ineffective cases.

10. Cardiac arrhythmia

Berberine was applied to treat 50 cases of ventricular tachyarrhythmias. Method: 0.4-0.5g each time, 4 times daily by mouth. The results showed that the average number of premature beats decreased by more than 50% in 30 cases, of which 20 cases disappeared.

11. Hypertension

Oral administration of 0.4g-0.6g of Berberine 3-4 times a day for 4 weeks as a course of treatment. The results showed that the blood pressure started to drop 3-5 days after the administration and reached the lowest value in 6-9 days. The average systolic blood pressure decreased by 3.6-1.9kPa and diastolic blood pressure decreased by 2.2-1.3kPa. The total effective rate of blood pressure reduction reached 69.8%.

12. Cerebral ischaemia and thrombosis

In 160 patients with increased platelet aggregation, 1.2g of Berberine was given orally in 4 doses daily for 4 weeks, with an effective rate of 95%, compared with 21 cases with the combination of pansentin and aspirin.

13. Congestive heart failure

Three cases were given 0.4g of flavopiridol orally, three times a day, and three cases were given 0.6g of Berberine on the fourth day after taking the drug because the efficacy was not satisfactory, four cases were given diuretics, and three other cases were given cardiac and/or diuretics and vasodilators because of critical condition. Out of 28 cases, 9 cases (32.1%) were effective and 11 cases (39.3%) were effective, with a total effective rate of 71.4%.

14. Foot fungus

Take a few tablets of Berberine, crush them into powder and sprinkle them onto the toe crevices of foot odour to relieve the itching and antibacterial effect. 1-2 times a day for about two weeks.

15. Herpes zoster

Yellow lisin tablets are finely ground and made into a thin paste with distilled water and applied to the affected area. For small areas, short duration of the disease and mild symptoms, apply topical safranin alone, twice daily. In severe cases, add virazole 0.1g twice daily by intramuscular injection, vitamin B 120mg 3 times daily by mouth and Panax notoginseng 1 sachet to be taken 3 times daily along with topical application of Berberine.
