Product Description
Product Information of Dietary Supplement Powder
Heme Iron Polypeptide is the iron bound to porphyrins in both haemoglobin and myoglobin as well as brain plasma proteins and absorbed directly into the epithelial cells of the intestinal mucosa in the form of porphyrin iron. It is usually not influenced by inhibitors (e.g. phytate) or promoters (e.g. VC). All that has an effect on the absorption of either type of iron is the amount of iron stored in the body.
There are two categories of dietary iron, haemoglobin iron and non-haemoglobin iron. Haemoglobin iron is absorbed by the body easily and is primarily found in red animal flesh, liver and blood, whereas non-haemoglobin iron is mainly found in plant foods and is not readily absorbed by the body.

Functions of Dietary Supplement Powder
Low intake of haemoglobin iron.
A common occurrence in infancy is iron deficiency anaemia. It is primarily caused by iron deficiency. Among infants and young children, the sources of iron depend mainly on food. There are two sources of iron in food.
One is haemoglobin iron, which is obtained from foods high in animal protein, such as lean meat, animal liver, animal blood and fish, that are high in iron but are also unaffected by other foods in the diet during absorption.
The other type is non-haemoglobin iron, which comes from plant foods such as vegetables, cereals and adzuki beans.
Heme Iron Polypeptide is primarily found in animal foods. Poorer regions of the world where meat consumption is low consume non-heme iron mainly from vegetable sources, which is poorly absorbed and prone to iron deficiency and iron deficiency anaemia. Fe intensification can be classified into haemoglobin iron fortification and non-haemoglobin iron fortification. Non-haemoglobin iron fortification, i.e. ferrous ion preparations, are mostly used in China, and some haemoglobin iron fortification, such as porphyrin iron, is also approved. In addition, GB1488094 states that the source of iron can be hemoglobin chloride derived from pig blood, known as haemoglobin chloride, which is a stable form of haemoglobin present in vitro. The molecular formulae of haemoglobin and haemoglobin chloride are attached.
