Kaempferol comes mainly from the rhizome of the ginger plant kaempferol-galanga, which is widely found in a variety of fruits, vegetables and beverages. It has been extracted in its pure form from tea, broccoli, hazelnuts, propolis, grapefruit and other green plants. It has received widespread attention due to its anti-cancer, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Diabetes prevention

The arteriosclerosis (AS) is a chronic inflammatory disease of the blood vessel wall. Researches have demonstrated that kaempferol can inhibit the copper ion-induced oxidation of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) to oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL); it can also reduce the expression of CD36 protein on the surface of THP-1 macrophages and block the uptake of ox-LDL by cells, thus preventing the development of atherosclerosis.

Anti-infection and anti-inflammatory

XU and others had shown that kaempferol has good antibacterial activity, also against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). the K-Br disc method showed that a concentration of 50 mg/tablet resulted in an inhibition zone of 8.5 mm for MRSA. it also had good antibacterial activity against Vibrio cholerae and Enterococcus faecalis. In antiviral terms, kaempferol can be lazily inhibited at non-cytotoxic concentrations. In the anti-inflammatory context, kaempferol achieves its anti-inflammatory effect mainly by inhibiting the expression of inflammatory factors.

Anti-cancer

Kaempferol is the most common flavonoid that may reduce cancer risk in long-term diets. Studies have reported that high intake of kaempferol reduces the recurrence of advanced colorectal adenomas, and high intake of kaempferol also significantly reduces the risk of pancreatic cancer compared to other daily dietary flavonoids. Recent studies have shown that kaempferol can also inhibit hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) and its receptor tyrosine protein kinase, which are associated with the growth and metastasis of childhood medulloblastoma. Therefore, it can be prevented and treated by dietary kaempferol.
