Introduction of Product

Glycine (abbreviated Gly), also known as aminoacetic acid, is a non-essential amino acid whose chemical formula is C2H5NO2. Glycine is an amino acid that is a component of endogenous antioxidant glutathione and is often exogenously supplemented during severe stress. It is sometimes called a semi-essential amino acid.

Solid glycine is a white to off-white crystalline powder, odorless and non-toxic . Soluble in water and almost insoluble in ethanol or ether. Used in the pharmaceutical industry, biochemical test and organic synthesis, the amino acid series is the most simple in structure, the body is not necessary for an amino acid, both acidic and basic functional groups in the molecule, can be ionized in the water, has a strong hydrophilic, but belong to nonpolar amino acid, soluble in polar solvent, and difficult to soluble in nonpolar solvent [3], Moreover, it has a higher boiling point and melting point, and it can present different molecular forms by adjusting the acidity and alkalinity of the aqueous solution.

Function of Product

Glycine is an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, especially in the spine. If the glycine receptor is activated, chloride ions enter the nerve cell through the ion receptor and result in an inhibitory postsynaptic potential. Strychnine is an antagonist of these ion receptors. In mice, the LD50 index was 0.96 mg/kg body weight, and the cause of death was hyperexcitability. Glycine and glutamate are both agonists in the central nervous system. Glycine has been considered as the most important inhibitory neurotransmitter after GABA. Glycine is widely distributed in CNS and plays an important role in the transmission of nerve signals and participating in various physiological and pathological reactions.

The results showed that glycine improved the growth and proliferation of small intestinal epithelial cells and the ability to resist oxidative stress, and promoted the development of small intestinal mucosa of newborn piglets. At the same time, dietary supplementation of glycine improved the growth performance of newborn and weaned piglets, and promoted intestinal development and health.

Application of Product

1. Glycine be applied for food.

Used as biochemical reagent, used in medicine, feed and food additives, nitrogen fertilizer industry as a non-toxic decarburizing agent;

Nutritional supplements. Mainly used for seasoning and other aspects;

It has certain inhibitory effect on the reproduction of Bacillus subtilis and Escherichia coli. Therefore, it can be used as a preservative for surimi products, peanut butter, etc., adding 1% ~ 2%;

Antioxidant effect (using its metal chelation) added to cream, cheese, margarine can prolong the shelf life of 3 ~ 4 times;

To stabilize the lard in baked foods, glucose 2.5% and glycine 0.5% can be added.

Add 0.1% ~ 0.5% to the wheat flour used for instant cooking noodles, and can play a seasoning role.

It can buffer the taste of salt and vinegar, adding 0.3% ~ 0.7% of salt and 0.05% ~ 0.5% of acid.

According to GB 2760-96, it can be used as perfume.

2. Glycine be applied for medicine.

Drugs used in the study of medical microorganism and biochemical amino acid metabolism;

Used as the synthesis raw material of aureomycin buffer, anti-Parkinson's disease drug L-Dopa, Vitamin B6, threonine and other amino acids;

Treatment of myasthenia gravis and progressive muscular atrophy;

For the treatment of gastric hyperesterosis and chronic enteritis (often combined with antacids);

When combined with aspirin, it can reduce its irritation to the stomach.

Treatment of hyperprolinemia in children;

As a nitrogen source to produce non-essential amino acids, it was added into mixed amino acid injection.

3. Glycine be applied for agricultural.

It is mainly used as an additive and attractant to increase amino acids in the feed of poultry, livestock and poultry, especially pets. Used as hydrolyzed protein additive, as a synergist of hydrolyzed protein;

Ethyl glycine hydrochloride, an intermediate for the synthesis of pyrethroid insecticides in pesticide production, can also be used to synthesize the fungicide isobaron and the herbicide glyphosate solid.

4. Glycine be applied for industrial.

Electroplating bath additive;

Used in pharmaceutical industry, biochemical test and organic synthesis;

Used as the raw material of cephalosporin, sulfoxmycin intermediate, imidazole-acetic acid intermediate, etc.

Used as cosmetic raw material.

5. Glycine be applied for reagent.

Used for peptide synthesis, as amino acid protection monomer;

Used for the preparation of tissue culture medium, copper, gold and silver test;

Because glycine is an amphoteric ion with amino and carboxyl groups, it has a strong buffering ability and is often used as a preparation buffer;

Complexometric titration indicator, solvent.
